Join us at the Careers, Education and Jobs Fair...

The Apprenticeship Support Network are delighted to be involved with the Careers,

Education and Jobs Fair which will be held at Isle of Wight College on Wednesday 30th October 2019 from 11am - 3pm. and will be on hand to provide advice and guidance on all things apprenticeships.


The event sees the launch of the Apprenticeship Support Guide, a FREE booklet that covers everything from what an apprenticeship is, to where to go for advice, support and guidance with plenty of information to help anyone who is thinking of, or is currently an apprentice. It also sees the launch of the Apprenticeship Essentials app from Unionlearn which can be used alongside the guide giving users everything they need to know.


The area at the fair will be supported by several local businesses and apprentices, with plenty of information available, so a great opportunity to ask apprentices and former apprentices what it’s really like to be an apprentice and what find out what the employer will expect of you, with the chance to make excellent contacts.


Tops Day Nursery, recently given “outstanding” in their Ofsted report will be on hand to talk about careers in Nurserys, Lmp Education about careers as teaching assistants, Nosy Design will be giving attendees interactive advice about marketing and design, GKN will be there to talk about great opportunities on the Island in Engineering, Allnatts will be there to answer your questions on how to be part of their outdoor team and have a career in the outdoor education section. Stonegates will have a representative in the Hogs Head who will be able to advise you on the opportunities of the apprenticeship route within their industry and show you how it can be a fun career to work in. There will be present and past apprentices from all these Organisations for you to talk to and to ask questions.


Representatives from the Training Providers HTP, SMART, Care Learning Centre and the Isle of Wight College will also be in this section to help you with your career choices and to enable you to find out local apprenticeship opportunities.


POA Learning will be delivering two information sessions on Autism and Dyslexia in the lecture room which is free to come along and participate.
