Could you be a Prosecutor?

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) Legal Trainee Scheme is offering up to 20 Legal Trainee posts to start in March 2020. Pupillage or Periods of Recognised Training (PRT) are available, with posts offered on merit to the top 20 candidates regardless of discipline sought.


As a CPS Legal Trainee you will earn a starting salary of £24,975 per annum (more in London) and get a minimum of 25 days annual leave. Trainee posts will be based throughout England and Wales.


Pupillage: 1 year in durationPeriods of Recognised Training: 2 years in duration


Could you be a Prosecutor?

Upon successful qualification you will be offered a permanent post as a Crown Prosecutor. The expectation is that you will gain the necessary skills and competence to apply for Senior Crown Prosecutor posts through regular recruitment procedures.
